In whatever your chosen sport is and whatever level you compete at, winning or achieving some personal goal is
probably an important factor for you. Most people enter into an activity with the goal to be the best they can be. To
achieve this, many will devote time and effort to practise and train for months and years, day after day, week after
week leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of success. However despite this single minded effort, many leave one
important factor to chance ….dietary supplementation or more correctly referred to as nutritional ergogenic aids.
The use of dietary supplements in order to improve performance used to be the domain of the bodybuilder and fitness
buff. Bodybuilding magazines would exaggerate the benefits of vitamin and mineral tablets and promote how taking
such pills would make you a fitter, stronger healthier person. Nutritional supplementation in order to improve performance
has come a long way since then and is now a multi million pound industry backed up with extensive scientific research.
Developments in food processing technology and a greater understanding of the performance needs of the individual has allowed
scientists and performance physiologists to produce nutritional supplements that are of real benefit to those involved in
vigorous activity and competitive activity. It would be foolish to say that taking supplements will turn an average performer
into a world class performer, but in cases where tiny mistakes or fractions of a second can be the difference between
winning or losing, nutritional supplements may be the missing factor that is stopping you becoming the champion you had dreamed
off.
Shaun
trains with his partner Paula, 33 who is a competitive figure athlete. Amongst her many entries at competition
level, Paula has entered more recently:-
Lakes
Classic 2007 NABBA North West 2007 NAC Britain 2007 Natural Central Britain Lakes Classic
2009 NABBA North West 2009
As was
stated earlier, taking supplements won't transform you from an average performer to a world-class performer. However they
will allow you to perform at the peak of your ability and may give you that vital edge. In a competitive environment where
winning is everything, you owe it to yourself not to leave anything to chance. Although there is no substitute for hard training
and practice, the very least you would want is to allow your ability to shine through. As well as offering advice, Shaun has the specialist
knowledge and expertise to design and monitor your own personal diet and exercise plan.
All the packages
he offers can be tailored to your own personal goals and will consist of a personal, “Presice” programme and regular
monitoring of progress throughout. You can ask for as much help as you like throughout the programme via telephone, e mail
or one to one chat.
